As in all my concert performances, I dedicate "Star Spangled Banner" to those in the U.S. Armed Forces who are committing their lives, and especially those who have given their lives, to allow millions of Americans the experience of freedom. What would a CD expressing the SOUL of New Orleans be without the inclusion of "When the Saints Go Marching In," "Just a Closer Walk with Thee," "St. James Infirmary" and "Such A Night." To all those musicians who have been a part of the evolution of Dixieland Jazz, Gospel and Rhythm & Blues, these songs are for you. Thank you for your influence. |
